rTribe aims to help those struggling with addiction, unhealthy sexuality or relationship problems.
Connecting people in isolation
The challenge of rTribe was to build a habit-forming app that would be stronger than addiction. We needed to bring people together who were isolated in their addiction and build a supportive community around them, while respecting its members' privacy.
Respecting privacy
We introduced avatars and usernames to focus on the problem rather than the person. Thus, users can find and connect with others by their common struggles, recovery groups or time in healing. Today the real power of rTribe lies in its network of supporting peers and professionals.
Help in need
We wanted to keep all recovery tools at hand and easy to use. Being able to alert friends when someone's triggered, and receive immediate moral support, is a central aspect of rTribe.
Breaking the addiction cycle
The app also harnesses the data gathered from daily check-ins and turns it into powerful insights on one’s progress. Therefore, helping users learn about their setback and success patterns, and understand their behavior to finally break the addiction cycle and start healing.
Online professional help
We brought help to the next level by offering professional online counseling for those who need it. A seamless and secure chat & video service allows counseling professionals to provide consultancy online all over the world, even in places where people don't have access to it.
